Dinosaurs and Dr. Seuss!

We have been learning an enormous amount about dinosaurs these last two weeks! We have so many fun things to share with you! First a quick reminder that there is no school for kindergarten on Friday since we have kindergarten round up. Also, we are running very low on bottled glue and pencils. If you have any at home and could send some with the students that would be great!!

We started our unit by spending an hour in the life of a paleontologist! We explored digging for fossils with chocolate chip cookies!! They had to be very careful when digging for bones (chocolate chips) so they did not break off part of the dinosaur!

Our paleontologists with the greatest amount of bones and the biggest bones are:

We also learned a lot about the different kinds of dinosaurs:

Tyrannosaurus Rex had a huge foot!!!

Pterosaurs are huge flying dinosaurs!

Triceratops has three horns and a frill!

Stegosaurus was a spiky herbivore!

We love dinosaurs :)

We are working hard on our dinosaur dioramas which I will be posting soon :)

Also, we had some visitors from the high school for Dr. Seuss's birthday!
