Polar Express Day and Class Party

Polar express day was a big success! Our room was set up like a train and the students got a Polar Express bell. The students came in their pajamas and some even brought their favorite stuffed animal.  The students enjoyed stamping their tickets every time they entered and left the room. We also made Polar Express writing trains and listened to the Polar Express book online.

We also had our class party this week. The first activity we had was a relay race with skittles.

Pin the nose on the snowman was a fun one as well :)

The candy cane relay:

Here are some pictures of the Ruldolph relay race:

We finished our party with crafts and a snowman treat!

Hope everyone has a great break!

New and Improved Santa and The Gingerbread Man

After reading the book A New and Improved Santa, the students created their own new and improved Santa. Here are our new and improved Santas!

We also enjoyed our week on The Gingerbread Man. We measured the Gingerbread Man and made a graph to show if we are taller or shorter than him. We also created a five senses Gingerbread Man! The students created gingerbread houses and glyphs! We discovered most of the students like gingerbread!

Concert Pictures and Winter Fun

Here are some pictures from our winter concert and outside recess :) I will be adding some fun pictures soon from our Polar Express, reindeer and snowman days!

Class Totem Pole!

The students had a lot of fun and worked hard making our class totem pole and Native American dances! We learned all about Native American traditions. Each part of the totem pole and dances represent an animal. The students picked their own animal they would like to represent and created their part of the totem pole and their dances as a team! I wanted to make a video so we could share our dances and finished product with our parents!

Here is our video:
